A Post from Aunt Dee's Blog regarding our Koby

March 22, 2001. It was a Wednesday. I was 11 years old and my birthday was 4 days away. I was in 6th grade. I waited in anticipation all day until I got out of school and then I went straight to the hospital. This was the day my nephew was going to be born. My first and only nephew. I met up with my older sister Melanie who was still living at home, my parents, and my brother and my hugely pregnant and in labor sister-in-law who lived in Vegas at the time. My mom and dad and the two of us waited there for hours. The epidural had slowed my sister-in-law's labor down significantly. Finally, he was born. He was so perfect and little. I loved him from the minute I saw him and my life has never been the same since. Yesterday he turned 10. He is the closest thing to a younger sibling that I have ever had. He has grown into such a cool kid and I know that it will only get better. He has also grown to be almost bigger than I am...not cool! He is brilliant and kind and funny and silly and sweet all at the same time. He is a normal 10 year old boy in so many ways, but there is so much more to him than that, and I know he will become such a wonderful man someday. I love you Koby. You will always mean so much to me. :)
