Koby was asked to be the pitcher for the first game of the season. I was very nervous for him. He looked so handsome out there on the mound in his uniform. He was very confident and calm. He did just as Ryan taught him and pitched a great game. The first inning he struck out the other team members so quickly. His friend Issac said, "good job you got everyone out". Ryan and I are really pround of him! What a cool kid.
On a sadder note. His friend Calder was on the other team and was up to bat. They (Kob and Calder) were cute and both gave each other a quick smile. Koby threw the ball a couple of times and then the third ball hit Calder right in the face. He looked stunned and hurt. His mom (who was sitting by me) ran and helped him. She came back to her seat and said that he needs stitches. They gathered there family and ran him to the quick care facility down the road. Koby felt so bad. He walked the next couple guys after that. I think it shook him up a bit. Calder did get stitches (2 of them on his upper lip). What a game!!
